Build Understanding with Motherson Elastomers

Motherson Elastomers is manufacturing plant that has been making and supplying rubber products locally and internationally for over 30 years. Motherson make rubber for a variety of industries including mining, railwayand automotive. 

Fraser takes us on a walk-through of the Motherson factory. He shows us the machinery and what it does, interviews staff about their jobs, and shows us some of the steps involved in the manufacturing of rubber.

Work Integrated Learning is offered through the College of Science, Health and Engineering at La Trobe University.

Federation University (Ballarat)
All students enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering, or the Bachelor of Engineering Technology are required to undertake a work placement to graduate from their course.

FOR TEACHERS

This resource is for teachers who are engaged with the Passions & Pathways curriculum and would like to explore additional activities, AND/OR for specialist or generalist teachers who would like to bring career conversations into their classrooms.
