The School Experience

Professional Development

Before the program begins, teachers and school leadership engage in professional development to understand the β€˜why’ and β€˜how’ of careers learning in primary schools.

In-class Curriculum

Teachers are supported to deliver a ten-week curriculum-aligned program complete with lesson plans, explainer video, curriculum links, student worksheets, rubrics, and virtual learning materials.

Know Yourself (Student Avatar Portfolio)

Through a range of exploration activities, students build confidence, communication skills, teamwork, as well as a stronger sense of who they are and what skills and interests they have.  These activities allow teachers to better understand students and support students and their aspirations as they approach completion of primary school and transition into high school.

Explore the Possibilities (Incursion & Excursion Program)

P&P’s Program Facilitator brokers relationships with local businesses that enable engaging hands-on real-world experiences with the world of work and meet young people working in a variety of industries. This industry engagement allows teachers to better understand how their students’ interests translate into future opportunities.

Run an Expo for Parents & Community

Students celebrate their learning, engage in conversations about their experiences, and share aspirations with their friends, families and community.
